To earn articulated credit you need to:

QuickBooks is offered for students who have some experience with computers and accounting principles. It will provide the learner with the knowledge, skills, and background necessary to understand and use the QuickBooks program to assist in running the accounting end of a business. Students. Students exiting this course will obtain skills needed in the workforce with reference to employment in the accounting or office field.
Job Readiness is an open entry course, enrollment is available every Monday. This course will prepare you for the world of work. In this course you will learn basic life skills, job search skills, you will learn how to explore different career options, create a resume, learn how to complete job applications correctly, and have a career portfolio for your job hunting process. You will use a workbook and the Internet to complete some of the exercises. This is a work at your own pace course.
Simulated Office Development is open to students interested n a business career who have met the prerequisites of the class. Students will gain on the job training and experience in a business office environment. Students will carry out oral and written directions effectively, maintain effective work relationships, and work in a team environment. This course articulates with Bakersfield College.
Keyboarding I
Keyboarding I is an open entry course, enrollment is available every Monday. In this course you will learn the alphabetic, numeric and symbol keys. You will learn to type sentences and paragraphs. In this course you will be introduced to word processing and creating business documents. This includes typing certification for 45+ net words per minute. This course is articulated with Bakersfield College. To earn 1 college unit you must earn an A or B in the class and you must also complete Keyboarding II. This is a work at your own pace course. Books are available for classroom use only.
Keyboarding II
Keyboarding II is an open entry course, enrollment is available every Monday. In this course you will learn to type and proofread business documents and reports, you will learn to create tables and you will learn different formats of creating business documents, for example block style letters, modified block style letters, MLA and APA reports, itineraries and many more documents using word processor. This course is also designed to build speed. This includes typing certification for 55+ net words per minute required for articulation. This course is articulated with Bakersfield College. To earn 1 college unit you must earn an A or B in the class and you must also complete Keyboarding I. This is a work at your own pace course. Books are available for classroom use only.
Accounting I
This is an entry level course consisting of the study of accounting. This section includes simple debits and credits through the complete accounting cycle. This is the first in the series of Accounting Classes. It is expected the student will continue to complete all three Accounting components but completion of just Accounting I is also possible.
