With an Information Technology Specialist (ITS) certificate, you’ll be prepared to apply your knowledge of computer science, business, and project management principles and techniques, as well as your specialized skills as an IT certificate holder.
The Information Technology Specialist course helps students understand technical concepts underlying current and future developments in the information technology field. There will be a special emphasis on networks (wired and wireless) and telecommunications. Students will gain some hands on exposure to powerful, high-level tools for making computer networks, phones and audio visual systems perform. Information Technology Specialist (ITS) is an academic discipline that continues to evolve as computers and communication technology change. Students will learn various techniques involving computer networking, audio/visual systems, telecommunications, conflict management, project management and blueprint/CAD review and design. Students will earn a certificate upon completion of introductory course demonstrating the ability to understand and utilize various tools in the following areas.

Introduction to Networking and Cabling Fundamentals certificate program can expose you to the next-generation of network tools (installation and monitoring) you can use to connect people via networks, VoIP, video, smart phones and more.
The Introduction to Networking and Cabling Fundamentals course helps students understand technical concepts underlying current and future developments in the networking and cabling field. Students will gain a strong understanding of structured Copper (CAT6) and Fiber Optic (Multi-Mode and Single Mode) Cabling Application and Standards. This course will provide the student with specification and technical knowledge of Enterprise Based Cabling solutions that support Network, Wireless, Audio, Video and Voice Services. Students will install, terminate and test in a lab environment all aspects of network infrastructure and gain knowledge of switch, router and wireless programming. Students will earn a certificate upon completion of introductory course demonstrating the ability to understand and utilize various tools in the following areas.
